Best Pizza in Washington, DC

A MUST EAT! One of the top five pizza places in all of DC, but you have to go to the original location in upper Northeast. The traditional Calzone is amazing. This place is one of the few locations in DC that are certified by the Italian government as Pizza Verace.

A great casual Neapolitan pizza spot. Would highly recommend for a fun casual night with friends or family. The pizzas we had were both super delicious. We had the Diavola (not too spicy) and the Di Ettore (I believe). We also shared the Prosciutto E Bufala, which was wonderful. The wine selection is limited and the wine glasses are pretty simple. Wouldn’t say the ambience is incredible, but totally fun for a casual night. The service was fine. Lots of people picking up for takeout.

Tasty pizza and a cold beer is fantastic on a chilly day. Enjoyed the aroma of pizza even though it was pricey for me. Cold beef was refreshing while watching the traffic pass by. Pizza was very large so luckily we had yummy leftovers for a few days.

Very impressed! The crust is outstanding. Both the traditional and the mushroom and sausage were very good. The service was outstanding. The only miss... The bruschetta was under seasoned with salt and balsamic glaze. Other than that, it's a five star.

Top pizza places in DC, no questions about it. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and the environment is really nice. Quiet enough to have an intimate dinner inside but lively if you want to have a group on the patio. Pizzas are all divine and make sure you get a cannoli to finish your meal!

Lucky to have found this awesome pizza place near Capitol Hill. This really sums up the meal from their website: "bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to life. Usually marketing and reality dont match, but in this case, they were perfectly aligned, and I did not have to go to Italy, plus the staff made us feel as if we had traveled to Naples.

This pizza isn’t just “as good as in Italy,” it’s as good as the very best in Italy. I spent about a decade back and forth in Italy and ate pizza everywhere. MAYBE one pizza in Naples ONCE was marginally better. Maybe. If you don’t like Menomale’s pizza it’s because you don’t like Italian pizza. (And there’s nothing wrong with not appreciating Italian pizza! To each their own!) Everything else on the menu—including the wine, including the selection of salami and prosciutto—is equally exceptional.

Food deserves 5 stars. However, dining room acoustics get 1/2 star. It wouldn't take much to put backs on chairs and sound-attenuation panels on the walls.
